Who We Are
The Wytheville Redevelopment and Housing Authority (WRHA) was
formed in 1968 and prides itself on administering federal subsidized
housing and housing assistance to low-income person and families
within the Town of Wytheville and the County of Wythe, Virginia.  
WRHA is a public body corporate and politic, exercising exclusively
public and essential governmental functions and having all the
powers necessary to carry out the purposes and previsions of the
Housing Authorities Act.

The WRHA is headed by its' Executive Director/CEO and is
governed by a seven member Board of Commissioners which
establishes goals, approves policies and finances and provides
general direction to the WRHA; subject to the requirements of Title
24 of the Code of Federal Regulations .

WRHA provides publicly assisted housing comprised of traditional
Public Housing, Housing Choice Vouchers, Project Based Vouchers
and Mixed Financial Developments in our Tax Credit Sites.

We have worked diligently to look beyond our public housing
boundaries and begin addressing how to transform not just the
neighborhood but the people too. We recognized early on that a
